We are delighted to celebrate our Year 11 pupils’ GCSE achievements today as the RMS community gathered again in Hind House, home to the RMS Sixth Form, to mark this important milestone.
This year’s results showcase the extraordinary effort, resilience, and personal growth of every pupil across the year group. Beyond headline statistics, today is a celebration of pupils at all levels stretching their potential to exceed expectations:
- A group of exceptional pupils attained 7 or more Grade 9s, placing them among the highest achievers in the entire country – in the top 0.25% nationally.
- 15% Grade 9s: Three times the national average of 5%.
- 33% Grades 9–8: Over double the national average of 13%.
- 53% Grades 9–7: More than twice the national average of 22%.
- 74% Grades 9–6: Almost double the national average of 38%.
- 89% Grades 9–5: Over 1.5 times the national average of 55%.
- 96% Grades 9–4: Well above the national average of 67%.
Creative & Practical Department Highlights
Our creative and practical disciplines delivered outstanding outcomes, demonstrating the rich breadth of talent at RMS:
- Art: 85% of all entries awarded Grades 8–9
- Music: 75% of all entries awarded Grades 8–9
- Food & Nutrition: 60% of all entries awarded Grades 8–9
Headteacher, Mr. Kevin Carson, commented:
“I am always incredibly proud of our students and teachers on Results Day. There are a bunch of students who attained 7 or more Grade 9s, which places them in the top 0.25% of the country, and there are students who are rightly proud of attaining a Grade 5 in Mathematics and added grades in added value in order to achieve this. This is one of the very many reasons why this is such an incredible school. Congratulations to all of our GCSE pupils, their teachers and tutors for their hard work and dedication.
