VISIT US
We love to meet new families and would be delighted for you to come and visit. Ruspini House welcomes girls and boys in the half term they turn two for the Pre-School class, and girls at 3+ for Nursery.
Individual appointments to visit Ruspini are available daily. Please call the Ruspini team on 01923 725316 or email ruspinihouse@rmsforgirls.com. Alternatively, complete the enquiry form and we will contact you.
Families will be given a personal tour of Ruspini House and its facilities, and meet our friendly staff, including the Head of Ruspini House, Mrs Vicky Greig.
Children move seamlessly up to Reception in Cadogan House, where they are guaranteed a place, so you may also like to visit our Prep School, Cadogan House, at the same time.
REGISTER YOUR CHILD
After visiting, parents should register their child via our online portal and pay the £150 registration fee.
To register simply click the button below and you will be redirected to the Registration Form. The Registration fee can also be paid online.
Offer
Priority without guarantee, subject to places being available, will be given to siblings provided they are registered at least three months before the anticipated starting date and their sibling is attending Ruspini when he/she starts. This priority only applies to the offer of a place, not to the allocation of particular sessions e.g. morning/afternoon. Parents wishing to register siblings should do so as soon as possible following birth.
Whenever possible offers are made six months before the anticipated start date. Places are offered strictly in order of registration.
ACCEPTANCE
We ask parents to accept their offer of a place within two weeks. At this time, a deposit is also payable. Your child’s place is then confirmed at Ruspini House and you will be invited to stay and play sessions to help your child settle as quickly as possible into Nursery life.

Prep (Cadogan House)

VISIT US
Please come and visit the Prep School. We have formal open days, but also welcome personal tours. During your visit, we’ll give you a tour of our facilities and introduce you to our friendly staff, including the Head of Cadogan House, Mrs Melanie Horn.
If you would like a tour of the wider RMS campus that too can be arranged but please allow more time for your visit. Simply give the Admissions team a call on 01923 725354 to arrange a time to suit you or complete the form below and we will be in touch.
Children can join Cadogan in any year group, in any term, subject to space being available.

Joining in Years 1 – 6
With the rarest of exceptions, all Year 6 pupils are guaranteed a place in the Senior School and move seamlessly into Year 7. It is because of the automatic entry to Senior School that demand for places in these year groups is highly sought after and places are limited. Joining RMS prior to Year 4 is recommended.
ASSESSMENT
There is no formal assessment for entry into our Reception class, instead we invite prospective Reception pupils to join us for a Taster Morning in January where they are observed by our highly trained Early Years staff.
Entry into all other year groups is by a more formal assessment which also takes place in January prior to entry.

OFFER

ACCEPTANCE
Places at Cadogan House are extremely coveted, so we ask parents to accept their offer within two weeks. A £1000 deposit is also required at this point to secure the place.
All new pupils are invited to induction days, or stay and play sessions for Reception, during the Summer term.

Senior

We love welcoming families to see what RMS for Girls has to offer. We have open events throughout the year, but we also welcome families for personal tours at any time. During your visit, we’ll give you a tour of our facilities – including boarding houses – and introduce you to our friendly staff and pupils. You will also have the opportunity to meet our Headteacher, Mr Kevin Carson.

Pupils can join RMS in most year groups, at any point in the academic year, subject to places being available and success in our entrance assessments.
Assessment
Our 11+ entry assessments for September 2027 entry will take place w/c Monday 9th November 2026, and include English, Mathematics and Reasoning. The online CEM tests, devised by the University of Durham, have been designed to assess potential rather than prior attainment. We also ask girls to undertake a piece of creative writing and take part in a group discussion with some of our teaching staff.

However, this day isn’t purely about assessment. We know pupils perform at their best when they feel comfortable, therefore we give all applicants the opportunity to get to know us better. Applicants are invited to have lunch at the School and choose a fun activity, allowing them to create new friendships and familiarise themselves with fresh surroundings.
Offer
Offers for Year 7 places for September 2027 entry will be made during the week commencing Monday, 30th November 2026. We kindly ask that acceptances and deposits are paid by the date on the Offer Letter, usually at the start of March. Some candidates in oversubscribed years may be added to our waiting list.
Entry
We welcome all our new Year 7 class to join us for two familiarisation events ahead of entry. Our first Induction Day in June is an opportunity for new pupils to meet each other and their new Form Tutors, but also for parents to learn more about our co-curricular programme and life at RMS. At the start of the new academic year all new pupils are invited to school before lessons begin for a fun familiarisation day.

The Sixth Form Taster Day for Year 10 pupils takes place in June of every year. Prospective candidates in Year 11 are encouraged to join us for the Sixth Form Preview Evening to meet teachers and find out more about life in the Sixth Form at RMS.

The deadline for registrations, scholarships and means-tested bursaries for Sixth Form entry in September 2027 is Friday, 16th October 2026.
We encourage early registration for Sixth Form places as unconditional offers are made, subject to satisfactory interviews, in November prior to the year of entry. We will consider applications throughout the course of the year, subject to space being available.
ASSESSMENT
We meet individually with all Sixth Form applicants. We ask for a reference from every students’ current school and predicted grades. We are looking for candidates with academic interest and a desire to contribute to our co-curricular programme. In all to make the most of the Sixth Form offering.
The date for Sixth Form Scholarship assessments for entry in September 2027 is tbc.

Offer
We are happy to make offers throughout Year 11, but the majority are made in the November prior to entry.
Acceptance
Offers of a place should be accepted by the date shown on the Offer Letter.
We invite our new Sixth Form students to join us for an induction programme in the Summer term after GCSE examinations. New students with conditional offers should send confirmation they have met their conditions on GCSE results day.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A PLACE AT RMS?
Applying for a place at RMS for Girls is a straightforward, step-by-step process:
- Visit Us
We strongly encourage prospective families to experience our school firsthand. You can book a place at one of our Open Events or arrange a personal tour to explore our facilities and meet our staff and pupils. - Register Online
To be considered for entry, all candidates must be registered through our online Admissions Portal.- Required Documentation: You will need to upload a copy of your child’s passport photo page (or birth certificate) and their most recent school report.
- Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee is required upon registration (£190 for standard applications; £150 for Ruspini House entry). You can also express interest in Scholarships & Bursaries via the portal.
- Assessment Process
With the exception of early entry into Ruspini House (2+), all candidates undergo an age-appropriate assessment process. Depending on the entry point, this may include entrance assessments, interviews, or observation visits. - Offer and Acceptance
Formal offers are sent in line with our admissions timeline. To secure your place, you will need to complete the acceptance documentation and pay the required deposit within the timeframe specified in your offer letter.

IS THERE A REGISTRATION FEE, AND HOW MUCH IS IT?
Yes, there is a non-refundable registration fee required when submitting an application.
The cost depends on the entry point for your child:
- Prep, Senior School, & Sixth Form: £190
- Ruspini House (Pre-School & Nursery): £150
The fee can be paid by debit or credit card directly through our online Admissions Portal upon completing the registration form. Full details regarding our overall fee structure can be found on our Fees Page.
DOES MY DAUGHTER NEED TO SIT AN ENTRANCE ASSESSMENT?
Yes, entry to the majority of year groups at RMS is by assessment.
The assessment process is designed to evaluate academic potential and overall fit, helping us ensure that every pupil will thrive in our supportive environment:
- Prep & Senior School: Entry includes age-appropriate assessments (such as written or online papers in English, Mathematics, and Reasoning) alongside an interview or activity session.
- Sixth Form: We only test international students for entry. For domestic students we request predicted grades from their current school. All students will be required to have an interview.
- Reception: We do not conduct formal entrance testing for Reception. Instead, girls are invited to a relaxed and friendly Taster Morning, allowing us to observe them in a play-based environment while ensuring they feel comfortable and happy at the school.
- 2+ Assessment: There is no formal assessment for entry into Ruspini House at 2+.
- 3+ Assessment: For all children entering at the 3+ point, an assessment period will take place. Children will be observed to ensure they are able to access the curriculum, with a specific focus on the Prime Areas of Learning. .

WHEN ARE OFFERS MADE, AND HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO ACCEPT?
For Year 7 and Year 12, formal offers of a place at RMS are sent out in November prior to the year of entry, following the completion of all assessments and interviews. In year offers can be made at any time
When you receive an offer for 11+ entry, you will have until the local education authority allocations are made in March to let us know your decision.
When you receive an offer for Sixth Form Entry, you will have until the first day of term in January to let us know our decision.
To formally accept the offer and secure your daughter’s place, you will need to complete and return the acceptance documentation and pay the required acceptance deposit within this timeframe.

CAN MY DAUGHTER JOIN MID-YEAR OR IN ANY YEAR GROUP?
Yes, we welcome applications for pupils at any point during the academic year, subject to space availability.
Mid-year (or in-year) admissions are subject to space availability in the relevant year group.
If a place is available, in-year candidates will be invited to the school to complete an age-appropriate assessment and interview.

DO YOU OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES?
Yes, we offer both scholarships and means-tested bursaries for girls entering at key entry points (such as Year 7 and Sixth Form).
- Scholarships: Awarded in recognition of exceptional talent in the following scholarship disciplines: Academics, Art, Drama, Music, and Sport.
- Bursaries: Means-tested financial assistance to help families who might not otherwise be able to access an RMS education. These can be applied for independently or alongside a scholarship application. Bursaries can only be considered on entry to yr 7 and Year 12. Our maximum bursary offer is 50% of day fees.
Both scholarship application forms and means-tested bursary assessment forms are completed through our online Admissions Portal during the initial registration process.
