We believe in identifying and supporting individual needs early.
At RMS, our Learning Support (SEND) is called PALS (Provision of Assisted Learning and Support), working alongside our Personalised Learning initiative to ensure every student thrives. Our Inclusion team works closely with students, parents, and schools to ensure a smooth transition and continuous academic growth.
What is Personalised Learning at RMS?
We recognise that no two paths to success are the same. Personalised learning means adapting our teaching to match your child’s unique strengths, interests, and pace. Whether a student requires stretch and challenge to reach their full potential or tailored techniques to master a complex concept, we customise the journey.
How we identify and tailor support needs:
-
Pre-Entry: Review of professional reports, entrance assessments, and feeder school liaison to understand your child’s learning profile.
-
Ongoing: Regular teacher feedback, in-class assessments, and collaborative parent meetings to adjust learning pathways in real time.
-
In the Classroom: Differentiated lesson plans, adaptive technology, and flexible pacing that empower students to take ownership of their learning.
What does PALS and Personalised Learning mean to you?
It means your child is seen, understood, and given the exact tools they need to excel.

A Nurturing Pastoral Team
From the moment a girl joins Cadogan House, her individuality is celebrated. Our staff build deep, trusting relationships with pupils so they always have someone to turn to. While the class teacher is primarily responsible for a pupil’s welfare, they are supported by a dedicated pastoral team and numerous staff trained as Mental Health First Aiders.
We provide expert guidance not just to our pupils, but to our parents as well. This collaborative approach is a hallmark of our all-through school for girls, ensuring that pastoral support remains consistent as they grow.
Pupil Voice and Leadership
We work hard to ensure our pupils know their voices are heard. We empower our girls through various leadership opportunities, helping them build the confidence they will need in the Senior School. These roles include:
