On Friday 16th October, RMS held its annual Prize Day, offering a opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students from Years 11-13 for the previous academic year.

Guests enjoyed a wonderful series of musical performances throughout the ceremony. RMS Voices gave a moving performance of Bob Chilcott’s “Can You Hear Me?”, followed by a piece from an instrumental trio featuring Matilda (clarinet), Amaya (cello), and Saarala (piano). Clara and Salma delighted the audience with a brilliant vocal duet from this year’s school production of Chicago. Finally, the Concert Band delivered an exciting rendition of Gordon Goodwin’s “Hit the Bricks”.

150 Years of Drill

Following the Prize Day Ceremony, the school gathered for a spectacular Drill performance. This year’s display held special significance, marking 150 years since the first recorded performance of Drill on Prize Day – a proud continuation of one of our most cherished RMS traditions.

We offer our warmest congratulations to all of our prize winners and a sincere well done to all our pupils for their achievements over the past year. Thank you to our staff, governors, and parents for their ongoing support in making the day such a memorable success.
