Grace I (Year 8) and Rachel P (Year 12) competed in the English Schools National Cross Country Final last Saturday in Nottingham.
Grace was competing a year ahead of her age against Year 9 runners, and finished an admirable 55th out of 350 runners. She was also the first runner home for the Hertfordshire team which is a fantastic achievement – we are all very proud of her!
Congratulations also go to Rachel who ran in the senior race, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of competing on the national stage. Ella P qualified to run, but unfortunately was unable to take part on the day as she was competing for the School in a team gymnastics competition.
This was the first time that RMS has had three runners qualify for the national finals, so congratulations all round!
