We are thrilled to announce that RMS has been awarded ‘Best UK School’ in the prestigious Sketch for Survival Junior competition!

This global competition raises vital awareness about species extinction and biodiversity loss while supporting conservation projects worldwide. Showcasing diverse art styles, it unites the voices of young people from across the globe in a shared mission to protect our planet.

Our talented Year 7, 8, and 9 pupils submitted their incredible artwork alongside entries from countries such as Singapore, Sri Lanka, India, China, South Korea, Iran, Pakistan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, the US, and many more.

“To all the amazing students who participated in House Art and The Sketch for Survival competition in early 2024: your talent, dedication, and creativity have shone brightly, earning us the honour of becoming the best school in the UK! Your outstanding work has not only inspired others but will now leave a lasting legacy. Through the Mara Elephant Project, seedballs containing indigenous tree and plant seeds will be distributed on behalf of our school in Kenya’s Masai Mara, helping to restore habitats, protect wildlife, and plant hope for future generations. Your art is proof that together, we can make a difference!”
