RMS for Girls is delighted to announce another exceptional year of A-level results, with our students achieving higher value added than 90% of independent schools in the UK.

To celebrate this success, we spoke with members of the class of 2024 to learn about their exciting next steps and how RMS has played a pivotal role in shaping their futures.

Here’s Hatties’ story.

Hattie, can you tell us your results and what you are doing next?
I got an A* and three A’s and I’m off to St Anne’s at Oxford to study history.

What are you looking forward to the most about your next step?
For Oxford specifically, particularly my college, there’s a big plus of a massive library – Oxford’s known for its libraries, so I feel like it should be top of the list. I’m also looking forward to studying history around people who love it just as much as I do, who I can chat forever about history with – the best thing to do!

What’s been your favourite thing about RMS Sixth Form?
I think my favourite has definitely got to be being Head Pupil – It was so much fun and just the most incredible experience.

I don't think I've ever learnt so many skills in such a short space of time. It was amazing!

How has RMS supported you during your time at the School?
RMS has supported me in so many ways, I don’t think I can name them all.

I am very sure of the fact that I would not be here getting these results and going where I'm going, without the support of RMS

The confidence I’ve gotten from Year 7 to where I am now, the opportunities I’ve been given, the amazing History and Politics department, the amazing Sixth Form – I owe them absolutely everything.

What would you say to someone who is considering Sixth Form at RMS?

I love it! It has been the best couple of years of my life

Go for it – It is incredible! Also, as with any sixth form, have the confidence to go out there and say yes. Take every opportunity with both hands because you do not know where you’re ever going to end up. That is the most amazing thing about RMS, they give you opportunities to grab onto and run with.
