The Food and Nutrition department at RMS was delighted to host a visiting professional cook today.
Xenia Marray serves as our support teacher for the Leiths Academy students in year 12. Xenia’s role involves assisting our students in achieving the highest standards for their Introduction to Confident Cookery (ICC) course.
This week, Xenia led the ‘Brilliant Batters’ session, during which the students prepared toad in the hole with cavolo nero and gravy.
In order to present their dishes on schedule, our Year 12 students had to master the art of timing for their plate.
The session proved to be a delightful and engaging experience for our Year 12 Students learning valuable skills that will undoubtedly contribute to their culinary expertise and confidence in the kitchen.
