Excitement filled the Great Hall on Monday afternoon while the girls enjoyed watching an entertaining performance from ‘The Shades’.
The band charmed their audience with both original material and some popular covers. Additionally, they delivered a timely message about staying safe online, using examples from their own experience. Prominence was given to being wary of strangers who may pose as someone much younger by using fake photos. Clear advice was imparted to the pupils to avoid revealing personal information and especially to avoid posting photos which they might swiftly regret and which would quickly end up on the screens of unpleasant individuals.
The afternoon proved to be an original and memorable way to reinforce these essential messages to help keep our young people safe online.
