RMS is delighted to announce that we will be welcoming top level Sports Nutritionist, Dr Dan Richardson, to lead a programme of sessions to our aspiring elite athletes throughout this academic year.
The first of these unique sessions took place this Tuesday evening, offering an introduction to Sports Nutrition and some key insights into how to adapt food type and intake to assist with performance, recovery and energy management.
After studying a masters degree in Sports Nutrition, Dr Richardson went on to work as the Head of Nutrition at a professional rugby league club, as well as work with professional football clubs, rugby union clubs and boxers.
Dr Richardson currently provides nutrition consultancy to professional athletes, clubs and schools across the UK.
It was a pleasure to hear from Dr Richardson on the topic of Sports Nutrition. A really informative and engaging session hearing about what your ‘plate’ should look like depending on the time of your event/training. Looking forward to the next session!

Future sessions will cover equally fascinating topics including the unique nutritional needs of female athletes and managing menstrual cycle challenges through nutrition support.
