Last week, Jade Goulden, RMS Alumna and creator of Jaded London, returned to RMS to visit our Sixth Form students.

Jade launched Jaded London alongside her brother in 2013 and has since grown the brand into a global fashion sensation, worn by the likes of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

Now the CEO of womenswear at Jaded, Jade engaged with our textiles and business students, offering valuable insights and practical advice on the intricacies of starting a fashion brand. She shared her knowledge about fabrics and the production process involved in making garments, and she was particularly impressed by the high standard of work from our A-level textiles students.

Jade also provided our A-level business students with her expertise in branding and marketing, discussing how to transition from a startup to a global brand.

During her talk, Jade emphasised the importance of understanding the entire process behind launching a clothing line, from concept to execution. She provided exclusive insights into upcoming launches and the meticulous planning that goes into each clothing drop.

A fabulous part of my job really is watching the journey once students have left the gates of RMS for Girls and feeling proud of the amazing adults that my pupils become.

- Mrs Freeman, Head of Sixth Form

A Big thank you to Jade for inspiring our sixth formers and reminding them that the journey from student to entrepreneur is entirely possible. Your willingness to share your experiences truly enriches our students’ learning and aspirations!
