Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Millie, a member of the class of 2020, back to RMS. Millie brought along her beautifully refurbished campervan, Dwight, and spoke to our Year 10 students about her unique academic journey and her experience starting her own mobile coffee shop business.
Millie is the proud owner of Quite Nice Coffee, serving high-quality coffee, cakes, and treats from the hatch on the side of her vintage campervan at various events such as private parties, markets, weddings, and festivals.
Throughout this week, Year 10 pupils will engage in various activities and events during RMS Aspirations Week. This presents an excellent opportunity for pupils to contemplate their future prospects and choices.
As the students start to think about their future choices it can often be difficult to imagine what opportunities are available to them. We wish to cultivate an experience where pupils can begin to think about their future aspirations, what skills they need and to think about the soft skills they already have and will develop over time.

We’re incredibly grateful to Millie for generously sharing her valuable advice with our pupils this week. Millie’s passion for breathing life into the coffee industry was inspiring, and we were thrilled to learn about her journey and the lessons she has learned along the way. We wish her all the success as her business continues to thrive.
As this week continues, Year 10 will also have the opportunity to hear from RMS parents about their career experiences, get a taste of life as an RMS Sixth Former during a whole-day taster event, and help raise awareness and funds for local charities Herts Young Homeless and Rickmansworth Foodbank at the RMS Big Sleepout throughout Friday evening.
