As part of our World Book Day celebrations, RMS was delighted to welcome award-winning author Sarah Hagger-Holt to the school on Wednesday 4th March.
Sarah spent the day speaking with all students in Years 8 and 9, sharing insights into her writing process and the inspiration behind her popular novels. Her stories are celebrated for their warm-hearted and accessible exploration of:
- Friendship and school life
- Family dynamics and LGBTQ families
- First love and navigating adolescence
The visit sparked a fantastic response from our young readers. For those looking ahead to their holiday reading lists, several of Sarah’s titles – including Proud of Me, Just Like Everyone Else, and The Fights That Make Us – will be featured in this year’s RMS Summer Reading Challenge.
Many students took the opportunity to have their pre-ordered books personally signed by Sarah during the event, providing a wonderful memento of an inspiring day.
