Year 3 visited The Living Rainforest which coincided perfectly with our topic on the Rainforest.
The girls were excited to see the Henri Rousseau painting they have been studying in Art come to life before their very eyes. The range of colours was amazing. We were lucky enough to see Poison Dart Frogs, Pygmy Marmosets, Tortoises, Carpet Pythons and much more. We also had a tour titled the Edible Rainforest – we saw coffee plants, vanilla plants and a Cocoa tree! The biggest surprise was the Pitcher Plant which eats insects so it can survive as the roots aren't in the soil!
