Congratulations to Viktoria, a Year 12 boarder, who recently won the Under 18 Duo Jiu Jitsu title with her partner in the European Championships.
Viktoria (pictured on the left of the centre couple) is no stranger to competing on the world stage, having also attended the Under 18 World Championships last year, and the European Championships the preview year, winning bronze at both.
Viktoria as been practising Jiu Jitsu since she was 4, only taking it up as her brother was already doing it, but clearly displaying a talent for it from the very start. As she has been doing it for many years now, Viktoria thinks of her training partner and coach and club members as her family, and realises how lucky she is to be able to travel the world doing something she loves.
Viktoria is at RMS for just one year as an exchange student from Austria, where she usually trains; whilst at RMS she is trying out some other sports and has joined the School's kickboxing club.
We are very proud of Viktoria's achievements to date, and wish her well for her future competitions.
