The National Cyber Security Centre, a part of GCHQ, runs the annual CyberFirst Girls Competition. The competition was launched in 2017 with the aim of encouraging more women to enter careers in cyber security.
This year four Year 8 pupils, Lauren, Charlotte, Sarisha and Zoe are competing as ‘The Bletchley Blueberries’ and have qualified for the semi-final taking place in Central London this Saturday. The RMS team made it to the top ten of 125 schools in their region. Overall, 524 have entered this year’s competition, and last year the RMS team won the competition outright.
We wish them the very best of luck.
