On Sunday, 8th February, three of our talented musicians, Alyssa (Yr 7), Eileen (Yr 7), and Bela (Yr 6), competed at the Chesham Arts Festival.
Under the guidance of VMT Angelika Stangl, the trio performed solo pieces with piano accompaniment for adjudicator Lisa Ueda. Despite only starting these pieces last term, the girls achieved spectacular results:
- Bela won her class (Grade 3/4) with a Distinction for Biber’s Presto
- Alyssa earned a Distinction in the 12 & Under category for Bach’s Gavotte
- Eileen secured a Distinction for Haydn’s Minuet and Trio and a Commendation for Black Cat Rag
The festival offers a supportive stage for pupils to receive professional feedback, and we are incredibly proud of our pupils’ dedication and musical growth since joining us in September. Congratulations to all!
