As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, RMS proudly hosted a Neurodiversity Information Evening, bringing together students, parents, and experts to foster understanding and appreciation of neurodiversity.
The event featured insightful talks from Space Hertfordshire, Ambitious About Autism, and an RMS student, who shared their experiences, knowledge, and practical strategies for supporting neurodivergent individuals.
Space Hertfordshire, a charity dedicated to supporting families with neurodiverse children, provided valuable guidance on creating inclusive environments. Ambitious About Autism, a national charity advocating for autistic young people, highlighted the importance of awareness, acceptance, and empowerment.
This week at RMS we have been raising awareness of Neurodiversity Celebration week through peer led assemblies and a parent information evening. At RMS we celebrate our differences all year round, not just this week, but it is always good to remind ourselves of the importance of kindness, understanding and inclusivity.

In line with our commitment to inclusivity, we have recently refurbished our quiet dining space, providing a more comfortable and accommodating environment for students who benefit from a calmer lunchtime experience. This development reflects our dedication to supporting neurodiverse students and ensuring that all members of our community feel valued and understood.
A special thank you to our dedicated PALS team for their unwavering support and commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students.
