On Monday 1st July, a group of RMS alumnae enjoyed a visit to the Museum of Freemasonry in London.
During the visit, the group had a fascinating guided tour of the museum and Grand Temple, before listening to an engaging talk by archivist Susan, as she shared the life and history of School founder, Bartholomew Ruspini.
The old girls then enjoyed reconnecting and sharing stories of their school days over lunch in a nearby Pizza Express. Returning to the museum’s library; many of the group were able to access their Petitioner Documents and explore their personal history and connection with RMS.
Here’s what some of our alumnae said about the day:
“I was so delighted to have the experience of visiting and to meet new / old girls and reminiscing on our school days.”
“I will be forever grateful for all the life lessons learned at RMS and the friendships I made and the resilience the education gave me.”
“I wanted to thank you for organising such a splendid day. It was fascinating and really helped to increase my knowledge of the history of freemasonry. It was almost too much to absorb in one visit so I shall have to go again!”
Thank you to our Development Department and the Museum staff for making this memorable trip possible, and enabling our former students to relive cherished memories.
