Today Year 10 students at RMS were given a unique opportunity to get a taste of what it’s like to be a sixth former during the highly anticipated Sixth Form Taster Day.
The event provided invaluable insights into the exciting and diverse opportunities awaiting students as they progress into the final years of their education.
Throughout the day, the aspiring sixth-formers were able to explore the dedicated Sixth Form facilities, which are set to expand in the near future. The school’s building will soon be enhanced with a cafe, conference room, futures centre, business and enterprise zone, and a beautiful well-being space.

One of the highlights of the day was the introduction to the personalised curriculum offered through RMS Edge, an innovative approach that caters to individual strengths, interests, and aspirations.
The taster day not only gave Year 10 students a preview of the academic offerings but also provided them with a chance to engage with the Sixth Form staff and current students. They had the opportunity to interact with teachers who are experts in their respective fields and gain valuable insights into the expectations and challenges they may encounter in the future.
