RMS for Girls is delighted to announce another exceptional year of A-level results. What truly stands out is the vast array of exciting opportunities our students are undertaking. The variety of destinations and courses is a testament to our school’s commitment to enabling every pupil to thrive and shape their unique future.

To celebrate this success, we spoke with members of the class of 2025 to learn about their exciting next steps and how RMS has played a pivotal role in shaping their futures.

Here’s Zoë’s Story:

Hi, I’m Zoë. I joined RMS in Year 5, and I have secured a place to study Civil Engineering at the University of Exeter in 2026. However, I am currently on my gap year working as a Gap Tutor at Harrow International School Hong Kong.

What was your favourite part of RMS Sixth Form?

My favourite part of RMS was being involved with all of the clubs and co-curricular activities that are on offer. I tried as many different clubs as possible, from chess to digital leaders, cricket, and technical theatre. Through this variety of clubs, I discovered what I was interested in and who I was. Through these co-curricular activities, I met students from all year groups, many of whom have become very good friends. I particularly enjoyed being involved with the music department, and by the end of Year 13, I was involved with 6 different music ensembles. Because of all the clubs I was involved with, I never had a lunchtime when I was not doing something!

What would you say to someone considering RMS Sixth Form?

Whilst I was applying for my new role, the RMS sixth form team were really supportive. I was given loads of advice on my application as well as lots of interview prep from members of the sixth form team, as well as my subject teachers. I couldn’t have done it without them behind me. In particular, my form teacher, Mr Fitzgibbons, was brilliant in my time in sixth form. If I ever had any concerns or needed advice on my UCAS application, he was always available and would help me. My subject teachers were also brilliant, as they were all super understanding. When I had my interviews at 6-8 am, and had to come into school slightly later, they always helped me catch up on my work in the weekly drop-in sessions.

What are you most looking forward to in your next steps?

I would say to someone looking at for a place in sixth form to definitely come to RMS! There is so much to do at the school and you will be supported by all members of the RMS community. Be prepared to throw yourself in RMS life (and definitely try Drill!).

What are you most looking forward to in your next steps?

I am really excited to meet the students over here, particularly the girls who are going to be in my boarding house – those who I am going to see every day. I am also excited to get used to my new school day and meeting the other members of staff, getting stuck into life here. I am also looking forward to exploring more of Hong Kong, hopefully finding a cricket club to play for and discovering where is best to go shopping! Also, I am really excited to go traveling around Asia in the school holidays – I want to tick a lot of countries off my bucket list!
