RMS for Girls is delighted to announce another exceptional year of A-level results, with our students achieving higher value added than 90% of independent schools in the UK.

To celebrate this success, we spoke with members of the class of 2024 to learn about their exciting next steps and how RMS has played a pivotal role in shaping their futures.

Here’s Cosima’s story.

Cosima, can you tell us your results and what you are doing next?
I got three A*’s and I’m going to UCL to study politics and international relations in September.

What are you looking forward to the most about your next step?
The thing I’m looking forward to most is learning everything I found a passion for at RMS in greater depth. During A-levels, as much as you focus down, you still have to learn a wide variety of things so I think it would be really nice to focus on one discipline that I know I’m really passionate about.

What’s been your favourite thing about RMS Sixth Form?

My favourite thing about RMS Sixth Form has been the people

When you’re in senior school, there’s so much going on that sometimes you don’t have the chance to make connections with everybody, and so it’s been really nice to expand on that and meet, and learn, with new people.

How has RMS supported you during your time at the School?
I think the main ways that RMS has supported me are emotionally and pastorally. Throughout my time at RMS, I had to miss some school because I wasn’t well, I’ve generally had a bit of a rough time of it, but RMS has always been there.

RMS has been like a second family to me throughout all of it, the good stuff and the hard stuff

They’ve always supported my extra-curricular endeavours, which not everyone would because it means sometimes you have to take a bit of time away. I wouldn’t be where I am without that support.

What would you say to someone who is considering Sixth Form at RMS?
I’d say that RMS is like a family, they push you and encourage you and find the thing that makes you you and try and support that – that’s what makes RMS so different. At no other place can you be in class with fencers, gymnasts, and people who maybe go to the White House sometimes, in the same place, and see such a diverse range of talents encouraged and not told to focus on one tiny thing.

If I had my time again, I would choose every time to come here
