The Great Hall was filled with pride, applause, and a true sense of community as pupils, parents, and staff came together for Cadogan House’s annual Prize Day.

For many, it was their first time experiencing this special event in the Great Hall.

The spirit of encouragement and recognition was alive and well, with all of Year 6 receiving a prize, acknowledging not just achievements, but the dedication and growth each pupil has shown. “Not because everybody needs a prize, but because you all deserve recognition,” Mrs Horn explained. “We want you to know the things we value in you—your efforts, your successes.

Throughout the morning, Mrs Horn painted a vivid picture of Cadogan as a thriving garden, full of diverse opportunities for growth.

"Will you all imagine for a moment that our school is a magnificent garden, and each one of you, our wonderful pupils, is a plant or a seed planted within it?"

- Mrs Horn, Head of Cadogan House

It was a fitting metaphor for a school year brimming with variety and success. From exploring the Tower of London, Knebworth House, and Rickmansworth Canal, to the Year 3 sleepover and the Year 6 residential in Newquay, pupils embraced every chance to grow, try new things, and build lasting memories.

The spectacular production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Junior saw many pupils shine on stage, while the Year 4 introduction of Mandarin enriched the school’s already broad curriculum.

Sports, music, art, and clubs all flourished, offering countless chances for pupils to nurture their talents.

A highlight of the event was seeing the Head Girls bravely applying the RMS value of Courage, as they stood up to deliver their speeches.

Prize Day was not just a celebration of success, but a reminder of the hard work, perseverance, and joy that make Cadogan House such a vibrant and inspiring place to grow.
