At RMS for Girls, our careers provision is about more than just a destination; it is about the diverse journey each student takes to get there.

A recent Friday in our Futures Department perfectly illustrated the breadth of opportunity we offer our pupils. The day was a microcosm of our holistic approach to Careers, Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance:

  • Personalised Support: The morning began with bespoke 1:1 sessions, helping pupils navigate the rigours of A-levels and refine their post-18 pathways.
  • Community Links: The team met with the Rickmansworth Waterways Trust to formalise new volunteering roles, ensuring our pupils remain active, empathetic members of the local community.
  • Industry Perspectives: Our “Futures Friday” series continued with a visit from Shenaz Lawton, FCA of ViiV Healthcare, who provided an expert look into the pharmaceutical and financial sectors.
  • Vocational Excellence: Our Leiths Education students stepped out of the classroom and into the kitchens of The Grove for a professional “behind the scenes” tour and cookery demonstration.

Careers guidance, community service, corporate insights, and vocational skills—all in one day. Not bad for a Friday!
