RMS for Girls is delighted to announce another exceptional year of A-level results, with our students achieving higher value added than 90% of independent schools in the UK.
To celebrate this success, we spoke with members of the class of 2024 to learn about their exciting next steps and how RMS has played a pivotal role in shaping their futures.
Here’s Grace’s story.
Grace, can you tell us your results and what you are doing next?
I got three A’s and I’m going to Oxford to study classical archaeology and ancient history.
What are you looking forward to the most about your next step?
Nerdy answer; I’m looking forward to studying more about classical archaeology because I’d never considered it before I came [to RMS]. It was something I’ve only gotten into recently so I’m excited to further my studies around that – it’s really interesting!
What’s been your favourite thing about RMS Sixth Form?
My favourite thing has definitely been the community around RMS.
I only joined [RMS] in the Sixth Form and I really felt like I was welcomed from the beginning. There wasn't really a period where I thought I didn't fit in
How has RMS supported you during your time at the School?
Again, back to the community, and also the support of the teachers, because before I came here I didn’t consider applying to any of the top-end universities – I didn’t think it was something I could do. After joining RMS and having the teachers encourage me and say; “you might as well give it a go”, I did, and then it all turned out really well.
What would you say to someone who is considering Sixth Form at RMS?
I would say the support that the teachers give you here, in applying to university or in helping you to further your studies, is incredible.
If I didn't have that support, I don't think I'd have achieved what I have today
