The RMS Big Sister, Little Sister is a mentorship programme for Year 9 girls.
The way it works: every Year 7 form is divided into two and each half is supported by two big Year 9 sisters.
During the first half of every lunchtime Big Sisters are available in the Resource Centre to offer guidance and support to all Year 7s. Year 9s have a two-hour training session at the start of the academic year in order to understand the best ways to support the younger pupils.
Big Sister, Little Sister sessions run twice termly during form time, giving Year 7s support in their first year of Senior School and Year 9s the opportunity to develop leadership skills and practice empathy.
