At RMS, we are committed to equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. This year, we proudly supported Safer Internet Day 2025, focusing on the theme ‘Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online.’

Safer Internet Day is the UK’s largest celebration of online safety, highlighting critical issues faced by young people in the digital space. This year, the focus was on raising awareness of online scams, helping students recognise deceptive content, and providing tips for protecting themselves and others from online risks.

Our Digital Leaders have been instrumental in championing online safety throughout the year. On Safer Internet Day, they led initiatives to educate their peers about identifying phishing scams, fake websites, and protecting personal information. Through engaging assemblies, interactive activities, and practical advice, they empowered students and staff to stay informed, think critically, and support one another in the digital world.

In addition, the Digital Leaders organised a successful bake sale to raise funds for Childnet, a charity dedicated to online safety. The event brought together students and staff, with proceeds supporting Childnet’s work to protect young people online.

A huge well done to all our Digital Leaders for their ongoing efforts in promoting online safety at RMS!
